Girl from the sea

About This Project

In this piece of concept art I portayed a young lady, who once lived in the sea, but now finds herself with two legs instead of a tail.
She is a little shy and a bit frightened to be around people this much.
Her personality is very calme and sweet. Her costume is inspired on traditional dresses from India. I wanted it’s design to be simple and classic, the shiny top and border added to finish the look. The beige glitters represent the sand and her turquoise skirt the sea.
Her sun-kissed skin represents the land too and her green eyes the sea as well.

I added the stages of my proces in different pieces. You can see the sketch, to capture her posture, pose and look. I added the colors, shadow and light on another piece, and of course the final result with a close up of her face.
